Install:

Download package and install with command. Filename depends on your choosen version

• Debian / Ubuntu

# cd $DOWNLOADFOLDER
# apt install ./Nessus-10.1.1-debian6-amd64.deb

Start Nessus:

Nessus Service can be started with

# systemctl start nessusd.service

Then take a Browser and connect to the local admin gui

https://localhost:8834

First startup will take some time. Compiling all the plugins, registering updating. so take your time
